Colette Squires is a long-time member of the Abbotsford community.  In 2000 she was the Founding Chair of the Abbotsford Piano Festival, in 2003 she became the Executive Director of Abbotsford Restorative Justice, working with the School District, Abbotsford Police and all levels of government to design and deliver ARJAA’s programs. In 2010 she established Colette Squires and Associates, to provide services in mediation, communication coaching, and conflict resolution for individuals and workplaces, training, program development and strategic planning for not-for-profits, and research and policy briefing notes for all levels of government.  In 2012 she completed her M.A. in Criminal Justice from UFV, and she also teaches at the post-secondary level, as sessional faculty at the Justice Institute of BC in the Centre for Leadership and Conflict Resolution, and at Trinity Western University in the Department of Sociology.  Colette is passionate about helping build healthy organizations and communities, both in her career and as a volunteer.  In 2010 she was awarded Rotary’s Paul Harris award for achievements in restorative justice, and in 2022 she received the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Award for her contributions to our community.
