20th Anniversary of the Rotary Club of Abbotsford-Sumas

Last Wednesday, May 18, 2016, the Rotary Club of Abbotsford-Sumas celebrated their 20th Charter year as a club (Chartered on May 17,1996) after an inspiring presentation by Susan Hampton (Crohn’s & Colitis Canada) .

Charter Member Allan Asaph along with President Mike Adkins raised their glasses to make a toast to the club members. Allan Asaph briefly outlined some of the club’s history.

President Mike invited Charter Member’s (Past President) Ralph Payne and (Past President) John Funk to speak about the club’s accomplishments during their year.

Past President’s Joyce Beal, Dorothy van de Ree and Thomas McMillan were also invited to speak about the club activities that they felt so proud about during their year and the accomplishments made within local and international communities.

Here’s to another 20 years of fun, networking, club assistance as needed either with hands on projects or financial support within the local and international communities. We are not just a club that can, however, WE ARE A CLUB THAT DOES!
