On January 31, 2017 at the Reach Museum, the 100th Year of The Rotary Foundation celebration was held to honour the incredible work that has been and continues to be accomplished by funds that have been matched for local and international projects.  The focus of the evening by the three Rotary clubs of Abbotsford and the two Mission clubs was to highlight many of their respective club's community projects as well as international projects.  Roughly one hundred community leaders were in attendance.  Mayor Henry Braun and his wife Velma, along with many council members and their spouses plus MLA Darryl Plecas, MLA Michael de Jong and Rotary District Governor Scott Dudley & his wife Christine, Past District Governor Sean Hogan & his wife Carol, and Assistant Governor Brad Whittaker.  The Vancouver General nurses alumni gracioiusly loaned us a child's Iron Lung that was used to keep many infants alive during the polio epidemic.  A wonderful and informative evening showcasing the good works of Rotary both locally and internationally.
